 Additional Information

English (Translate this text in English): The main attraction of this dive is to dive the kelp forest on the outside of the pier.
It was absolutely magical (sort of like experiencing Redwood forest in 3D), with the sunlight filtering down through the kelp. We also so lots of rockfish, crabs, empty abalones, and a single shy harborseal.

The Pacific Ocean had been unusually quiet for a couple of days so the viz by the shore was extraordinarily good. Normally the viz kan be a real problem here!
Also, the water is 11 deg. C here, so it will feel cold, even in a thick wetsuit.

Kelp forest diving at backpacker prices, in prohibitively expensive California. We simply hired the equipment at Glens Dive Shop 50 m from the dive site, kitted up and walked down to the beach, where we had a 50 m surface swim to the kelp forest.
